Triple Rock Blues Band
Triple Rock Blues Band
The Triple Rock Blues Band is one of North Florida’s top blues acts featuring guitarist/vocalist Chris Adkins, his brother Ben Adkins on drums and their father Scott, who plays both keyboards and bass. They are frequently joined by guests on saxophone and bass. Based in St. Augustine, Florida, they have been performing at festivals, nightclubs, and private parties throughout the southeast since 1997. The group plays a unique, fresh rendition of electric blues, combining jazz, rock, and funk into their music, performing original songs as well as classic numbers from the past. The band released their debut album, The Renegade, in 1999 and opened for legendary guitarist Bo Diddley at The Father’s Day BBQ & Blues Festival in 2001.
Playing Bass for over thirty years, Scott has recently pursued his love of the blues organ. Music has always been a part of the family and he instilled a love of music in his sons from an early age. Chris holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Florida, where Ben will be graduating with his Bachelor’s of Music Degree this April. Ben and Chris both frequently perform with prominent musicians in the North Florida area.
The Triple Rock Blues Band has performed at numerous festivals including the Springin’ the Blues Festival and has been a featured act of the St. Augustine’s Concert in the Plaza series for 11 consecutive years. The group brings an exciting brand of music to venues small and large.
